Way to go Justin. I started as a Painter then learned Siding, Then Framing, Trim, Tile, etc. It is very satisfying to build and fix peoples homes.I love to help young people learn the skills I picked up in my years of construction. Dan Maines

I attended the 2011 Utah FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference on October 5-6th. This is my 5th year attending, and it seems to continue improving each and every year. FCCLA offers so many incredible opportunities for students like myself to develop personal leadership qualities and life skills that will continue on with them for the rest of their lives. I have learned so many amazing things from FCCLA that I would not have experienced otherwise. FCCLA has so many amazing programs and events for members to become involved in, so the options and potential opportunities are limitless. Fall Leadership Conference offers student leaders like myself a unique opportunity to prepare for the upcoming year and to develop a sense of community around the state in each individual chapter. Ultimately, FCCLA has made me a better person through and through, I am am so very grateful for the leadership opportunities I have had within the organization.

Brilliant! I totally agree with this. Students don't need to figure out what they are doing for the rest of their life, they just need to figure out what to do next. Otherwise, how to we prepare students for careers and jobs that don't currently exist??

I love this story - it is very uplifting. Well done to the two of you for your achievements and you journey to become designers. Donating your time and talent as well to a cause is wonderful and very fulfilling. I wish you the best in your design paths.
