Career and Technical Education courses help you get started on your pathway to success.
This Pathway prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills to the operation, flying, and navigation of commercial aircraft. This program operates on the basis of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations.
- The fundamentals of flight.
(Includes the history of flight and airplane systems.)
- The principles of aerodynamics.
(Includes the four forces of flight, stability, and aerodynamics of maneuvering in flight.)
- The elements of a flight environment.
(Includes safety of flight, airports, aeronautical charts, and airspace.)
- Communication and flight information.
(Includes radar and air traffic control services, radio procedures, and sources of flight information.)
